I get it. I've read all the books, I've seen the movies more times than I can count, and I am 100% with you on the excitement and geekiness that comes with visiting the Shire.
I've captured numerous weddings and private photo tours at Hobbiton in all manner of weather and lighting variations. No matter the conditions, it's still my favourite place to photograph weddings!
How does it all work?
Quite simply, get in touch using the form below, and we'll arrange a time to either meet for a coffee, or over zoom. We'll talk through your plans, hopes and dreams for your day and I can answer any questions you have and help narrow down your options. There is no pressure to confirm your booking at this meeting.
Package Options
If you just want your ceremony and private photo-tour covered, I recommend the Bronze package. This will give you enough time to get all the basics captured. If you are having a reception after your photo-tour, you may be better suited to the Silver or Gold package.

Can we have a second photographer?
Yes! Just like breakfast in the Shire, one is good, but two is better!
I can easily arrange a trusted and professional second photographer to join us. You can choose to have them come with us on the photo tour, or join your guests to capture some memories for them on their set tour.
$100 per hour.
What if it rains?
Hobbiton Movie Set is a beautiful outdoor venue. Although we can shelter in the Green Dragon and Bagshot Row, there are limited spots throughout the set to hide from the rain. If we have less than ideal weather, I encourage you to enjoy it. We will use umbrellas, and get creative! I am more than confident I can create some amazing photos for you in any weather.
Do you provide wedding albums?
Yes! Whether you are an NZ local, or visiting from overseas, I am happy to design and create a custom wedding album for you. I can have these shipped internationally if needed.

Can we have some behind-the-scenes content recorded for us?
Absolutely! Your Hobbiton Movie Set wedding is an experience like no other. I am happy to arrange an assistant to come and record behind-the-scenes video and photo for you to use in your own social media content. *These will be recorded by phone (either yours or mine), and will not be edited for you.
If you are wanting a more professional video coverage of your day, let me know and I can recommend some amazing videographers!
Can we still have 'getting ready' photos?
If you are getting ready for your wedding in Hamilton, Matamata or somewhere else near to Hobbiton, then yes - I am happy to come and capture some getting ready photos before you head to the Shire. We can incorporate this into your timeline for the day.
We are coming from overseas and don't know many other vendors - can you help?
I know many amazing wedding vendors in the Waikato area. So if you need recommendations for hair and make up, flowers, musicians or anything else, please ask. I'm happy to send you details of those I know and trust.
